Excessive hair shedding may happen if your lace wigs are not cared properly. There are a few maintenance tips that will help prevent hair shedding.

Tip 1.

It is recommended that you reseal knots of your wig each time you wash your wig. Turn the wig inside out, spray the knot sealer on the lace and allow it to dry completely before wearing it. But before that, please air dry the wig and wig cap first.

Tip 2.

Make sure to keep oils or conditioners away from the base/cap of the wig where the knots are. Because oils and conditioners are wet and slippery, they may loosen the knots and hairs will slip down when you brush or comb the hair.

Tip 3.

Do not brush or comb your wig when it's not completely dry, that may loosen the knots as well. Although shed may not happen immediately, once the hair is dry and you begin to style it, shedding begins. Try to avoid excessive brushing and combing.
